Term 4 2024 Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As Term 4 draws to a close, it's a moment to reflect on the growth and progress our Year 7 students have made. Looking back, it’s truly remarkable to see how much they’ve accomplished, already preparing for the transition to Year 8 – a significant milestone in their educational journey. It’s been wonderful watching them embrace the challenges and opportunities of secondary school life, and soon, they will take on the role of mentors and role models for the next cohort of Year 7s.

This term, we held our annual MADD Day Out – a celebration of the incredible talents of our students. Despite the unpredictable Melbourne weather, we adapted and still enjoyed a day filled with fantastic performances, along with ice cream, coffee, and cookies to keep everyone refreshed. Students from across the college showcased their amazing talents, and both parents and teachers were proud of everything on display.

We also had the pleasure of celebrating our International Students with a special dinner this term. Their resilience and achievements have been inspiring, and we wish our Year 12 international students all the best as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives. We were excited to celebrate the achievements of our Year 12s, with a fun-filled day at FunFields Park and the Graduation Ceremony last Wednesday.

In other exciting news, the North Campus building plans are progressing well. We look forward to sharing the updated designs with the community soon, as they are significantly different and will provide a glimpse of what’s to come.

Our Year 10 students recently participated in Mock Interviews, a valuable experience that has prepared them for the next steps in their career journeys. Additionally, many of our students had the chance to attend Amazon’s Industry Immersion Days, working with mentors to tackle real-world challenges and gaining insight into future career possibilities.

Lastly, I’d like to take a moment to congratulate our Year 12 students on their hard work and dedication. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved. Their results are a true reflection of their perseverance and the collective effort of our entire school community. We look forward to celebrating their success together at the upcoming end-of-year College Awards Ceremony.

Warm regards,

Jodie Parsons

Co-College Principal
